Build your own bathing system more powerful than the bathing beauty

Don’t get me wrong, I loved my Bathing Beauty. But, my second one died and the price has skyrocketed to almost $800. Pretty rich for a glorified sump pump. Tried to find the pump without the name label on it but to no avail. No other pump has that tiny base that fits in the well in the tub that Hanvey puts in their vans. Probably made special which accounts for the price tag. So, I went looking for another solution and I found one. Price: About $200 bucks and an hour and a half of my time.

So, I am going to share my solution with you.

I loved the pressure that my Seaflo fresh water pump put out. That pump came with the unit and does great, but I thought that just a bit more power would be even better.

Driving fresh water is pretty easy, but driving recycled water from the tub has a few challenges. That water has dog hair in it. I solved that problem by having a screen on the suction end of the input tube and another at the pump. Both are super easy to clean.

So, let’s start with a parts list:

  1. Seaflow pump SEAFLO 52-Series Water Pressure Diaphragm Pump – 12v, 5.5GPM, 60PSI
